Position Overview

Paradigm Digital Group is seeking a Content SEO Strategist to join our team in Fishers, IN. This position requires 3-5+ or more years of experience and offers an opportunity for growth into other roles as natural progressions. You will work with an experienced team of digital marketers, video content producers, and management.

Our Content SEO Strategist owns the content strategy and on-page SEO that drives organic growth across client websites and owned channels. This role blends editorial excellence (voice, story, UX copy) with search strategy (keywords, intent, metadata, internal linking, editorial calendars) and AI-accelerated production. This role must possess excellent writing skills for creating content across multiple platforms. Partners closely with the Technical SEO Specialist (who owns site health/CWV/schema/robots), the Digital Brand & Design Specialist, Social SEO Manager, and Video Content Creation.

This role is not just a job, it’s a highly collaborative position that will make you an integral part of our team. You will work directly with the VP of Marketing and CMO. The salary range is determined based on relevant experience, with a preference for a minimum of three (3) years producing and writing content. You will be handling bi-weekly client meetings across ~10 clients and responsible for the monthly content and coordination with other supporting roles. Hence, client service skills are a must!

Paradigm Digital Group is a leading digital marketing agency for the transportation & logistics, vocational, trade school, career training, and education industries across North America. We are a full-service marketing agency providing our clients with website redesign, marketing strategy, local SEO, content writing, PPC, email marketing, social media management, and video production, to name a few. We are a team of 13-15 dedicated employees. PDG has over 35 years of experience. We provide our clients with expertise in all advertising and marketing disciplines.

Our comfortable work environment and our team’s work style are supportive, collaborative, and fun. We foster a team atmosphere that encourages long-term growth with our clients and company.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop keyword and topic strategy (Semrush, WriteSonic), mapped to search intent and customer journey.
  • Turn research into prioritized content roadmaps (pillars, clusters, briefs) tied to growth goals.
  • Own editorial calendars (WriteSonic + ClickUp) by client, aligned to seasonal trends and launches.
  • Define brand voice and messaging pillars; ensure consistency across channels.
  • Conduct Bi-Weekly meetings (minimum monthly meetings) with Clients.

Content Creation & Optimization

  • Write and edit high-quality copy for websites, remarketing landing pages, CTAs, and blogs — manually + with Claude/ChatGPT (human-in-the-loop).
  • Build AI-ready briefs (audience, angle, SERP features, FAQs, internal links, references).
  • On-page SEO: titles/H1-H3, meta descriptions, image alt, internal links, URL slugs, Yoast/WriteSonic optimization; request schema updates via Technical SEO Specialist.
  • Maintain brand, tone, and accessibility (plain language, headings, alt text) and quality control across deliverables.

Analysis & Insight

  • Conduct competitor and SERP analyses (manual + WriteSonic) to identify content gaps and opportunities.
  • Monitor rankings, CTR, content engagement, and backlinks with the Technical SEO Specialist (Semrush, GSC); translate findings into next-step tests.
  • Report monthly: wins, losses, hypotheses, and next actions.

AI Enablement

  • Build prompt libraries (posts, pages, metas, FAQs) and agentic workflows for drafting, variant creation, and internal linking suggestions.
  • Use AI for keyword clustering, outline generation, meta rewrites, summarization, and QA; maintain human review standards on all content.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Digital Brand & Design Specialist for website updates requiring more than 5 minutes of editing, layout/UX nuances, and placement of visuals.
  • Partner with Social SEO Manager and Video Team on video scripts/snippets for site and social; repurpose long-form into shorts, reels, and carousels.
  • Coordinate remarketing text campaigns (open houses/class starts) with Digital Strategist & Analytics Manager; create QR codes/UTMs and simple tracking.
  • Work with the Technical SEO Specialist on internal linking plans, template needs, and to validate search impact (who owns robots/CWV/schema/redirects).

Off-Page & E-E-A-T (non-technical)

  • Plan link-earning content (data pieces, guides, local resources) and lightweight digital PR angles; coordinate outreach support where applicable.
  • Strengthen E-E-A-T signals through author bios, citations, and expert reviews on content.

Deliverables

  • Quarterly content strategy (pillars, clusters, keyword targets) per client.
  • Monthly content calendar and production plan.
  • Content briefs, drafts, and final optimized pages.
  • Meta title/description sets and internal linking recommendations.
  • Monthly performance snapshot with insights and experiments.

Job Requirements

  • Able to drive to Fishers, IN office – this is not remote or hybrid
  • Four-year degree, BA preferred, related to the marketing industry
  • 3-5+ years of full-time industry experience in content strategy/copywriting with proven SEO impact.
  • Proficiency with Semrush/Ahrefs, GSC/GA4, Yoast, WriteSonic, ClickUp (or similar project management database).
  • Strong interest and adaptation to AI tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT, to aid in the prompts, content writing, and workflows.
  • Understands SEO fundamentals (search intent, SERP anatomy, on-page best practices, internal linking) and how to collaborate with Technical SEO – good SEO writing is important!
  • Proficient with WordPress, Unbounce (or other landing page platforms).
  • Proficient with Canva and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Can provide insight into the current platforms and any up-and-coming trends that would enhance client brand image
  • Open and curious to new AI trends that are relevant to our applications

Candidate Qualities

  • Desiring exposure to a digital marketing agency with multiple client brands rather than just one in-house company brand
  • Prefers a marketing team (13-15 people) with exposure to various marketing aspects but still enjoys being part of a larger workforce environment.
  • Strong editorial skills: voice, clarity, structure, accessibility; excellent brief writing.
  • Proven self-starter eager to take on new challenges independently at a fast pace, while also enjoying collaborating with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills for handling multiple clients and projects.
  • Ability to learn quickly and multitask on multiple projects and clients.
  • Acute attention to detail and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Great attitude and strong work ethic! Always do whatever it takes to get things done.
  • Strong verbal skills and a clear verbal reasoning style.
  • Interpersonal skills are essential for effective interactions with others.
